From research on REITs to CrowdREIT PLC

The beginning of our journey

Our history dates back to 2016, when Dr Grzegorz Mizerski, the founder and President of the Management Board of CrowdREIT PLC, took an interest in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) for the first time. Fascinated by the possibilities of this form of investing, he began his extensive research into REITs.

Soon, he defended his doctoral dissertation on REITs, which not only consolidated his knowledge, but also opened the doors to a publication for him – he published the first monograph on the subject in Poland, thus becoming a pioneer in the field. His dissertation became the foundation for further undertakings in the area of real estate and investments.

The next step was establishing the Foundation for Education and Research on REITs [pol. Fundacja Edukacji i Badań nad REITs] (www.fundacjaREITs.pl), which aims to promote knowledge about REITs and support the development of this market in Poland. The foundation brings together experts, academics, and practitioners, thus creating a platform for exchanging experiences and best practices, which has contributed to increased interest in this investment model.

In the following years, Dr Mizerski also committed himself to international markets – he created a Luxembourg-based RAIF fund, which invests in the shares of US-REITs listed on the NYSE and NASDAQ. This experience allowed him not only to conduct an in-depth analysis of global trends in the real estate sector, but also to develop a unique investment strategy, which combines stable dividend payments with a potential for capital increase.

CrowdREIT PLC is a natural consequence of these actions – it is an investment vehicle that draws on years of experience, research, and Dr Mizerski’s successes, while making it possible for investors from Poland and abroad to access a quality portfolio of rental properties.
